Food for thought

Something is on my mind and I needed to get it off my chest. We have lots of beautiful people here there’s no doubt. But I can’t help but notice that cliche “hot people” posting pics are getting a lot more support and encouragement. I get it’s human nature, but we can do better than that right? People post things without a pic and get almost no responses and that’s just a bit disheartening. Everyone here deserves support and fellowship. Anyway end of rant. Thanks.

Which ugly people would you like us to give attention to? Please point them out so we can address this matter.

I agree with you. It seems that posts with a pic of an attractive individual gets more focus and attention than one without. Support and encouragement shouldn’t have a “look.”

Always can count on you for a snarky comment.

I'm becoming dependable!

I agree. Like a grey hair you pluck at but like clock work .. it’s back. There’s no getting rid of it.

I'm tenacious.

You’re something that’s for sure

I think you’re very attractive Tracy. I’m not sure what’s hot and what’s not but sobriety looks sexy on anybody.

Lol

I will never forget the day my first sponsor told me that I didn’t need an excuse to drink. I know that I heard it before that, but it’s meaning didn’t sink in until he told me.
I suggest reading page 64 of the Big Book, last paragraph.

If someone is 2 days sober asking for help with no pic and no profile I try to respond and share my experience.

If someone has been around for a few weeks or months and they haven’t done even the basics of setting up their account I tend to skip over it.

I also try to stay away from the repetitive topics that trigger people and rile people up. I stay away from weed/California sober topics, Christianity (religion) topics, and NA beverage topics.

I do look at the profile of everyone before I respond. It is much better now but in the beginning there were so many scammers that I just got in the habit.

Have a great sober night all.

That wasn’t the point of my post. I promise

I understand completely

I’m not sure you understand the point of my post. I was saying we need to support everyone here regardless of whether they are what we feel attractive or there’s a picture attached to the post:

Yes, and I agree with you. I was only trying to say watch out for resentment.

Trust me I’m building a resentment but it’s not about what I posted about :joy:

 I appreciate what your saying for sure. Great sense of humor. We are not a glum lot.
