For all of yall out there looking for love, be sure to focus on your sobriety first and foremost. I think the recommendation of staying single your first 365 days of sobriety is very important. It's hard to recover and better yourself if your attention is focused elsewhere. Love yall, stay strong, and keep at it.

Amen! I gave up a relationship just for this reason. I could not stay sober while living with someone who drank. I’m working on myself. There were some activities I stayed home for because I didn’t want to embarrass or trust myself with getting drunk which caused me a lot of anger and jealousness. Resentments can build up. I just want to be free for now to explore life!

That's for the typical relationship. If you want love bad enough, you've gotta find someone sober too. The dating on here for example....excellent. I just wish more people were on it.
