Yesterday, I attended an AA meeting in Darwin, Australia while on vacation. It was incredible how welcoming the group was and how I felt immediately safe and at ease being with my sober family. To me, these feelings of acceptance and connection are the opposite of addiction, and are what I need to keep up the fight!
