For my beautiful daughter. For my amazing best friend, my days would be tougher without her ! And for my career as a therapist where I am able to help people that struggle with what I’ve struggled with and overcome…the last week alone, something from my past of addiction and mental health that I’ve shared in one of the groups I’ve lead and individual sessions I’ve done has touched somebody. A guy in the re-entry group I lead was very suicidal, and after I shared a little, he picked up his head and walked out with a smile, and a sign of hope. It’s those things that make my past worth it, to see that it can be used for good for someone else!
