One of the best things about my sobriety is feeling well enough to get out of bed in the morning and make myself a cup of tea and get outside on a walk. I’ve even been able to jog a little bit, which my dog loves - and she does a great job of keeping pace with me. Back before I quit drinking I was experiencing so much discomfort every morning, feeling horrible, not wanting to get out of bed and then finally getting out of bed and just feeling queasy. Any time I would do any exercise I would feel acid just burning up my esophagus bubbling away reminding me that I was destroy my body. I’m so grateful that I finally decided to to body and it’s really paying off!

Totally relate. Before I got sober mornings mean a half bottle of aspirin. Now I am still not a morning person, but at least I'm not hung over.
