For the 1st time in FOREVER I actually had to explain to people why I wasn't drinking at a social setting (a bar). It's weird being asked "why aren't you drinking!?" By mostly people I just met. I don't think I would ever ask someone that, but 3 of these people (out of like 10?) Asked. Weirdos 
They where wondering why you where not apart of them.see what happens next time.take notice.people get jealous see who stays away from you after they find out.
I once had a bar tender tell me to go to another bar when I asked for a Shirley Temple while my friends got shots. He said "This is a drinker's bar!" If he only knew the things I've been through....

You have to be classy about it, and say "sprite and grenadine"!

There are lots of ways to answer those questions (if you so choose). A couple of my favorites: “I’m allergic”, “I’m a nicer person without it”, “When I drink, I tend to breakout in handcuffs”

I always say I’m driving, or I got some stomach issues going on. I tend to drink ginger ale anyway so it looks like a “drink”
