Freaking struggle bus day today and it’s not even 10am

Freaking struggle bus day today and it’s not even 10am. I want to drink just to feel the buzz of something so bad. I’m on winter break so I’m just so bored all the time. I don’t have friends and I don’t have a job so I mainly just stay home and play video games.

Also want to drink to ease the anxiety of being around lots of family these next few days. I don’t do well with large, loud groups of people.

What do you guys do when you feel like this? Are there any N/A drinks that give you a “buzz” without getting you drunk?

Exercise always give me a nice calm feeling, especially cardio, but that’s very hard if motivation is low. Mindfulness practices help as well. What about a ton of caffeine?

Go to some meetings and make some friends. Sitting around isolating and trying to figure out how to get a "buzz" without drinking is just gonna lead you back to drinking.

You DONT have to do this alone. You DO have to take the first step, though. Please come to meetings and make some friends.

I don't know about anyone else, but the time that I had nothing to do was the most dangerous time for me, I always ended up drunk. I think now I overcompensate by keeping myself constantly busy, but I know my own patterns and having nothing to do was always when I started drinking.
