I’m super busy, moving for a new job, four months sober, saying yes to all people in recovery and am there for them when they call, but do you when someone you care for is relapsing? This claims they are sober, but I know they are not. They live a few states away and I feel helpless.
Unfortunately, I've been there. You can't really do anything even if they were in your home. They have to want help. You can offer them resources and try to talk to them but it is like trying to get a drowning man in a canoe. If he don't want the help all he will do is flip the canoe.
