Friends and "enemies"

I've learned in our program I can have real thick and thin friends. I didn't know that before. People used to be obstacles or step ladders. I didn't get a upbringing where any of life was explained. I just thought other people thought like me. Very selfish and were untrustworthy.
Today I know this isn't true.
I'm grateful for
People.
Those who are my friends.
Those who are acquaintances
Those I haven't met yet.
I've also been taught by God that there is a secret to people who don't like me or I prefer to deal with.
Most often the people I don't get along with hold a message or lesson I can learn.
I'm not saying hang out with a abuser. But if we work with them or always come across them at activities try listening for the "hidden meaning" in our discomfort. For me I must also rely on God's Grace and intervention in these matters.
But I am truly grateful to know I might actually gain a Gem of truth about myself or life from a person I just can't be a friend with...

It's truly wonderful. I had to work the actual steps though. Clear the wreckage inside me and from my past actions before I really started to be able to give, share and accept kindness and love without fear or hidden reasons...
