Ever since I moved to a small rural town, finding friends has been nearly impossible. I love my sobriety and recover out loud, but I miss my sober community from my hometown.

Takes time for sure in a rural area. How far are meetings?
About an hour
I was in your shoes. Small town. More cows than people. I’d spend more time driving than at an actual meeting. Then it was the same people telling the same stories, often quoting the big book trying to be the smartest person in the room. Ultimately I quit going. I realized that I don’t need meetings to stay sober.
