I went to a volunteer orientation tonight for Horses. I was super excited and was curious what this place was all about. They had 16 gorgeous horses and a clean facility. I put my self out there and that’s what counts… the volunteer program wasn’t for me. When I showed up I was the youngest one there (21) and when we went around the room to introduce ourselves literally everyone said they are retired and are looking for stuff to fill there time. I mean this place was definitely for that it takes a ton of work to, in their words, level up. If i didn’t want to just scoop piles of
and dirty hard work, I would have to take months to level up to lead a horse. OR work events and I mean giant events and with my social anxiety that is not happening. I came home disappointed and my parents reminded me it’s not for everyone and we’re proud you at least tried and stepped out of your comfort zone. I at least checked it out and horses aren’t for me. I will just admire them from afar or maybe do equine therapy again.
