Getting a little ancy… living in so. Cal., and although it’s beautiful here and I’m focusing on my recovery, I hate not having my independence, or my car! I am blessed to have 40 days sober, and will continue to be optimistic.

CONGRTULATIONS ON 40 DAYS.I have a little over 8 months sober. Born and raised in California. I started my sober journey at Hazelden Betty In Rancho Mirage. Transferred to Hazelden Betty Ford Center City, Minnesota. Now in Sober Living in St.Paul, Minnesota which has been a great experience. It has help me build a foundation that I am able to build on.I didn't have independence, car or job. I now have independence,a car, a job and Moving out to my own apartment. I continue to work on my sobriety and being vulnerable Stay strong Honest,open and willing . Keep focusing on you sobriety and everything will fall into place at the right time.

Yes never lose the optimism because it can all turn around at any moment. The nice weather helps I know because I'm in Miami right now and feel so much better than being at home in the cold and snow. So there's big bonuses for Cali. Hang in there, k
