Still sober after 5 years, but just feeling stale and disconnected. Haven't been to a meeting in a couple years. Want to connect with other sober people but not always AA. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I feel feel the same way. Sober for 3.5 years but haven't been into a meeting in a long time. I'm about to go so I can make friends. But I know what you mean, just because we are sober doesn't mean that what we want all of our relationship to focus on. Then it just gets weird

I agree, I can only talk about alcoholism and sobriety so much. It used to be the center of my life in early sobriety but now it's like a fun fact about me

Volunteering and using meet up activities that focus on exercise are excellent sober uses of time; you may also meet people with whom you can become friends. Quitting drinking is the first thing to focus on and building a meaningful sober life is the next.
