Gifts of recovery: Living our most authentic lives

I got some solo exploring in this weekend (Historic New Castle,DE)
It’s really cool -after we sober/clean up & we weed out the false narrative society gives us on how we should be a human - to realize we can truly create our own life.
Life is good and when it’s not it still is :pray:t3:

Melissa,
I cannot thank you enough for your words.

I am writing them down in a notebook I keep.

I have had a rough December…loss, death, funerals…holiday by myself.
Cool with being by myself…while not when sad news repeatedly hits.
Not drinking though.
Cool photos and huzzah to and for, towards solo time!
You G O.

Hey Sarim
I am so sorry to hear that, you should be so proud to have stayed sober through it :white_heart:

Doing things alone is so underrated! I’d love to hear about any solo adventures/dates you go on!

Sending you much love and light :white_heart:

Awesome post. Thank you for sharing. This is a truth that needs to be spread far and wide!

I was trying to find an intention for the new year today in yoga, and I couldn’t quite put my finger on it… AUTHENTIC! That’s it. That’s my goal for 2024, I’ve been hiding behind booze for so long, and I’m ready to take those baby steps back to my authentic self. Congratulations to you and happy new year!:confetti_ball:
