God is with you

I see a lot of posts about the struggle to stay sober, being tired of the lies and deception and of the guilt.

I am here to say that honesty, forgiveness, and transparency begins within.

If you can learn to be honest with yourself about your faults, weaknesses, mistakes and short comings.. then you will be better prepared to find an actionable plan you can follow in order to make the changes necessary to be a better person.

Once you start to implement that action plan, you will learn to forgive yourself for the wrongs you have done, and start to live each day with the intention of not repeating the same behaviors and patterns that always fuel guilt, shame and regret.

And once that shift happens, when you've admitted to yourself the faults, forgiven yourself for the shortcomings and start changing the behavior..

Being transparent about the things that you've done becomes easier.

When we are still in a position to repeat the wrong, it becomes nearly impossible to address it because deep down inside, we know we are likely to repeat it. And no one person likes to set themselves up to an empty promise that they know will be broken.

Accept in honest intention, that you have done wrong, forgive yourself for the harm and hurt you've caused by realizing that you are a human being, flawed and imperfect.. but trying. And move towards transparency by living in a way that does not reflect the behaviors of the past.

It's time for a new life, a new way of being, of connecting, of showing love and compassion and understanding.

But first, you must learn to turn that intention, that love, that understanding, that honesty, that compassion towards yourself.

Because until you can do that, you won't feel prepared to do it for the people you love.

Just remember that you are not alone. That you have support if you need it.. because God ( Higher Power/Source/Creator) is always with us, and he believes in us.

He just wants us to believe in him. And believe in oursleves.

Bod bless, happy 24
