Here is an exercise for you. Make a list and title it my best friend is.... And list all the qualities you would like in a best friend. Let me know when you complete it and I'll show you what to do next.
Or try reading the big book of Alcoholics Anonymous?
Have you looked into SMART recovery?

I know what you mean. It really thru me for a loop the first time around. It’s full of mixed messages about god, god of my understanding, higher power etc. in one part of the book it was completely open minded, yet 2 pages later it’s God God God. This time around I just let it be. I stopped trying to figure it out, or the need to define it in any way. Yeah it still bothers me from time to time. I just have to be tolerant to it, just as I want be to be tolerant of my beliefs. It’s a back and forth I just have to live with. I let others choose what they want to believe, and walk away from those that are trying tolerant of what I choose to believe (or not to believe).
No but thank you,I’ll look it up now
In the big book it talks about the asnostic
