Going on 4 months sober

I’m going on 4 months being sober and I feel like some nights are harder than others! How do you stop the cravings of alcohol? Help! :disappointed:

Try to start living outside your Ego. Let the thoughts and urges pass and Observe those thoughts. These thoughts are just that thoughts ! Don’t act on the urges and if it’s an unbearable urge do the opposite of what your feeling. Are you just laying in bed..? Then do the opposite and get moving do some stretches, go in a walk. If your angry do the opposite find a funny youtube video or a song you like. Even put on white noise and try to pick out 5 things you see. Change up your environment !

EGO:
I need a cig
I need another one
I can’t do it
I,I,I

Challenge try to talk and have a conversation without starting your sentence with I, Me, or My !
🪷🪷Practice mindfulness :woman_in_lotus_position: meditation :woman_in_lotus_position: self love :heartpulse:

You deserve sobriety and peace. I hope you can push through these urges ! Hope any of that helps or nothing take what stuck with you.

Congratulations 4 months. Keep going strong. Remember those are just thoughts, get to a meeting, listen and learn that the urges pass. This too shall pass. Best wishes!! One day at a time

4 months is a lot of clean time that’s great! If your still having cravings you should try a good cleanse. You need to throughly cleanse your liver & kidneys. Fasting will reset you also on a cellular level. Add some dandelion tea to your routine. Add lemon or lime and drink it hot or let it cool down and have it cold. Best of luck !!

Love all the advice here. Also, avoid all possible triggers (I have a bad one hearing cans crack open so no cans of soda for me). Avoid places you used to buy alcohol or drink at and avoid "friends" or acquaintances that don't respect your sobriety ( Im at the point of avoiding anybody I used to booze with, but this may be harsh for some).
Regardless, you are doing great at 4 months. Keep up the good work.:+1:
