Going on ten months dry. Things got really bad in June. My father died June 14 2020 and my cousin took his life June 26 2020 and this year was my first year processing my emotions sober vs drowning them. It was tough then my daughter graduated and pretty much cut me out of her life. Been a rough summer arguing with my wife and her questioning my sobriety. I’ve lost a little bit of interest in our live life because my head is just filled with concerns that I used to drown. So naturally she thinks there’s someone else then she threw in her doubt of my sobriety. This is the second time and the first time I was angry but went through the motions and was ok with it because I know I’m sober and that’s what matters. Just a frustrating time but I’ve stayed dry. I’m tempted though

Hey man, you are doing it! Dealing with emotions that we never had to can be exhausting. I am sorry about the loss you suffered. I wish I could give better words of encouragement but, life on life’s terms brother. All you can do is what you are doing. Will your wife consider ALANON? Or family counseling? Will your daughter? 10 months is an outstanding accomplishment, don’t sell yourself short on that. Keep working your program. You can only control your own actions and not those around you. Good luck man, it will all fall in the place it needs to be.

Don’t! You have to take care of yourself. Keep on keeping on (sober) and your wife will see it. Talk to her honestly about what you are doing. She should understand
