That’s awesome  no drinking :star_struck: as far as the bad break up I went through that a year and 2 months ago it cut deep but thank god I am in a different state and started a life over after 5 years of sharing a life with someone who wasn’t worth it. I am sober 131 days :grinning:

We always think that the appropriate thing to do after a breakup or job loss is to drink. But then we have to suffer twice.
It seems that you know this, but the old timers always said: “play the tape”. Fast forward what will happen if you do take that drink. Too often we don’t allow ourselves to remember the negative consequences.
Break ups suck. I barely made it through my divorce sober, but that was almost 3 years ago now.
You can do this.

Hang in there, get an in-person sober network. Check out women's AA groups. Beware of dudes who "are going through the same thing" blah blah blah.

Hang in there...

Congrats to you for making it through yourself!

Hang in there Keely. Thanks for opening up and sharing with the Lucid community; glad to hear you’ve got a sponsor and living near meetings.

Keeping an emotionally sober mind is key to maintaining physical sobriety. With the help of the recovery fellowship, we can get through life’s challenges and hardships sober.

Breaks ups are tough however you’re tougher! Be very proud of your will and strength

Sometimes a higher power takes people out of our lives for a reason. look back at this and find out that person wasn’t part of your destiny. Stay the course and don’t pick up no matter what.

The damage my drinking has done is immense. Thank my HP I don’t have to create wreckage today.
