Heard that brother. I was kicked out of my GFs place on Thursday (nothing to do with drinking) been between my car and hotels over the weekend. You can do it! Just don’t drink for the next 5 minutes over and over if that’s what it takes.

Thank you brother

Bro I get that. I recently went through one too. Fortunately I haven’t have a craving to use.

My emotional sobriety has been sideways which is enough chaos for me. I just keep reminding myself that a drink or drug will make things worse.

I’m at that point in my sobriety where I’m trying to embrace just being content and not pushing myself to be happy. Patience I suppose. Good luck man.

Thank you bro

I went through a divorce in sobriety and didn’t drink or use. At first it was like a way for me to show her that what she did was wrong and I can change. Then I soon realized it was over for good. I was one anger man! But I kept going to treatment, I kept speaking at group level, and I read more books in sobriety then in my entire life! I went hiking every weekend. Spent mikes on the trails finding the truth about me. It was hard work and I’m still putting in the work to this day. I’m an alcoholic who has recovered from a seemingly hopeless state of mind and body. Junior keep your head up! Find your higher power, pray and meditate, help others, be kind, loving, patient and tolerant to all things Earth.

Welcome  it totally is therapeutic! I cried on a few trails! I laughed! I saw some great views! Talked with some wonderful people on the trails! It’s definitely a place where we can just let go of the materialistic world and just be….

Sorry man but keep it together. This too shall pass. I’ve been single all of my sobriety, it’s exceedingly lonely but I’m over 1,000 days sober. I’m still Hoping to meet someone when the stars align. For now, a meeting tonight

What’s sucks my mind keeps thinking about her being with another man already i know it’s out of my control but the thought sucks

I know. I really do. Our mind are our worst enemy’s at times. Obsessing over things we can’t control. It will take some time but when those thoughts enter try to focus on something else. Or get to a meeting, I spend too much time alone which makes it worse (but keeps me sober). I’ve found vey long walks to help.

I’m sorry. I went through my divorce sober, too. I empathize. I loaded up on meetings to work on anger and resentment (Al Anon worked better for me and they will welcome you with open arms-they’re addicts, too!), group therapy, and getting my meds checked (funny/not funny: I starting getting horrific migraines during that time!). Whatever you do, do not suffer alone! That’s when the dark energy comes to getcha!
