I'm sure if your pastor knew your situation he would not want to jeopardize your sobriety and would make an exception for you! God knows your heart. It's done in remembrance of what Jesus did for you on the cross. We use juice but if we didn't, everyone is aware of my alcoholism and I would have juice no questions asked.
