Good Morning Everyone! I joined Loosid to see what it would be like.
I've been in and out of aa and sobriety for about 18 years and have put together decent stretches of sobriety, my longest being 4 years.
I have been struggling the past 3 or 4 years with maintaining any amount of real sobriety and am back now and ready to get to work. I am on day 5 right now and every day so far has been a struggle. I've done a meeting every day, I am doing out patient rehab in the evenings and I'm on Antabuse and Vivitrol.
For the first time I can remember, I'm really struggling during these early stages of sobriety - really feeling the physical cravings more than ever. I used to be a binge drinker maybe once or twice a week, but it's now binge drinking 3-5 times a week - I am sure I am just that much more dependent.
Since relapsing Sunday-Tuesday I've gone and dove into it all, getting the meds I mentioned, calling folks from AA, raising my hand in meetings, getting and giving phone numbers, and most importantly making plans so I am filling my time with sobriety.
Thanks Jeff
. Anyway, stay connected to others in recovery. I did this alone for many years. It’s a lonely existence. We are much stronger when we work on this together!

welcome to Loosid!
