Goodbye Summer

Although I love summer weather, it’s always a hard season for me in regards to sobriety. I am tempted more in summer than any other season. Fall is a time for me to focus and turn inward as I work on becoming a better me without the summer distractions.

Welcome to fall, y'all! (Sorry I know that was corny)

It was interesting to live through all the seasons sober for the first time since elementary school. I am more triggered by fall and winter to be honest but how I deal with it is with reflection on how much better my life is now. Good job. Keep soberheroing on!

I live in Az, we only have summer and winter, it’s 84 degrees and beautiful out here right now. I wish I got to experience fall. Wherever you are looking amazing and so serene💕

You’d be in trouble in Florida lol

I love Summer

Fall brings playoffs, football, etc. so entering my more tempting season. Summer makes me think more health -oriented. A 35 ° wintery mix with dead s$&# everywhere when you walk outside seems more detrimental to my psyche :man_shrugging:t2:. Probably should do a lot of inner reflection instead of watching UFC and college football lol. Good job

I don’t like seeing summer go but I can relate to it being a temptation. Drinking outdoors was better than drinking anywhere else. But it’s so nice being able to enjoy EVERY day of summer instead of losing the hungover ones. Late summer-early fall has always been my favorite time of year. And it still is in my sobriety!!!

Great photo. I should have made it to the mountains more this summer but didn’t.

I have to be completely honest, the only good thing about living here in Southern California is that summer really never ends

Thank god summer is over. It’s absolutely the worse time for me. That was when my husband and I were constantly at oyster bars and I hate it. Honestly. This summer I had spine surgery so was house bound for most of it. Thank god. Fall and winter doesn’t bother me as much. Boy I relate to this post. My entire recovery team knows what I am like in the summer. So glad it’s over. We got this.:pray::pray:

I think I will turn my clock back one how this fall.

I'm grateful you have an opportunity to focus inward.

My favorite thing about fall is that the bugs return to h3ll where they belong.

I was always assumed colder months were harder on sobriety for most people bc they are locked indoors, dark, depressing skies, and could lead to idle hands wandering towards a distraction. (I'm a Floridian, so no winter for me!)

That steam looks beautiful. End joy the fall. Hoping for a mild winter.
