Grateful for 10 hours of sleep

I knew I was tired. Proved. Slept a sober sleep for ten hours and needed every minute. Only had to get up 2x to let the dogs out. Grateful for them being house trained.
Grateful this morning for reflection. The past 2 years of sobriety have allowed me to really address myself and my inner being. Therapy is just getting started and I am grateful  for Steph my therapist.
I am grateful today to have had a very good class on the 5 love languages with the men's BIP group. One guy stormed out when we challenged his homework responses. He was to list and describe 3 situations where he demonstrated active listening. He shared the situation and stated his response which was not active listening it was problem-solving. He got upset and said that is how he talks and always has. Stated he was taking a timeout and left. This will be an unexcused absence and the behaviors reported to his PO. A conversation will be held with him next week about his behaviors and an attempt to show him that the class is for learning and his opposition is not helping him learn new skills.
This is hard for some people who have spent 30 years in marriages or relationships that have thevDV cycle of abuse.
I am grateful today the fence man can come and see where the doggies are escaping from.
Grateful for taking the day off from my main job.
Grateful for scrubs. Good scrubs are ones you want to stay in all day. I have those...lol
Grateful for Checking in at the Pet Resort today for a 1 to 6 shift later today.
Grateful for time today to clean my counters off and use some good smelling cleaner.
Grateful for Shiloh and Little Man. Though they are escaping and running a muck, I am still grateful for them both.
Grateful for a good friend listening to me and offering empathetic thoughts  :relieved: about how I am feeling. Sad. I am just sad that my husband took his life. I am mad still that he did it in front of me. I am grateful to be sober and strong through this time of the year. See, he was revived. Brain dead. In the hospital and on life support. Aug 3, 2020 is the day I decided to end the supports and let him be. I am sad for the loss of life and still grateful for it being a catalyst for sobriety.
Grateful. Strong and sober today!!
