Grateful for today.
I've been sober 6/22 from a horrible meth addiction that had me homeless and committed. Today I'm getting my stuff together to move me and my son into our own place!!! I've also been able to address my mental health issues clearly. I suffered from unchecked bipolar 1 so long that I thought I was dying mentally. I'm in SW Florida and if anyone is here I'd like to know where the AA, NA whateverA meetings are. Thanks everyone and thank my higher power for yesterday. It was amazing. And with his help I'll make it another 24. Stay safe and stay sober everyone. We're all worth it
That is fantastic. Keep up the work.
Have you got your energy back is your mental health okay did you get high or just focused but kept doing it to feel normal how long before you felt better
Iām so happy for you!!!
No I still don't have my energy back but I try to make myself as active as I can. Even if it means just to stand up and stretch. My mental health is coming back but from what I understand, it's a process that could take a year or two. Every day it gets a little better though. And yeah at first I was getting high but eventually it turned into about a gram a day to feel normal. And about feeling better. That's very subjective I guess. I feel better than the day before but meth is a horrible monster. It's like getting out of mental quicksand. It's a lot of hard work but giving up will lead to sinking back in.
Thank you! And thanks to everyone. Y'all had a part in it
Hi Stephen! So glad to hear that you benefitting from sobriety! I also have bipolar, and it went untreat (by choice) for many years and caused a lot of wreckage in my life. I have been on meds consistently for eight years and sober for three years and what a difference. I am a contributing member of society and chaos no longer surrounds me. Stick with it and you will continue on a path to normalcy and feel more and more stable. Reach out if you ever want to talk. Good luck!
See I have done it some and tried other speed trying to replace Ritalin I've had some make me feel really good others not so good but I'm used to having focus I also seem to not feel or have much interest without Ritalin
