Grateful one of my mother’s Christmas presents finally got delivered and i was able to get up to the nursing home to give it to her. It’s nice to be able to make her smile once in a while. It’s a place that really brings you back to reality. For that I’m grateful for a lot more than i even lead myself to believe i am.

Awe, I am glad your mom and you had a beautiful moment. What did you get her?
Got her a new mini fridge for her room and a new goose-neck type phone holder so it’s easier for her to use her phone(she’s paralyzed on her left side from a stroke).

Sounds like amazing gifts. You're so thoughtful. I'm sorry she's paralyzed- I'll be praying for her.
My mom was in a nursing home for 5 1/2 years until her passing last summer. She was a lifelong victim of polio. In the end, she could not move for over 2,years. It was painful to visit twice weekly but I cherished every minute with her. I hope you will cherish every minute with your mom. You will have no regrets.

Sorry about your mother. 
. My mother’s been in the NH for 10 years. Unfortunately she had a massive stroke shortly after her 56th birthday and became paralyzed on her left side. It’s never easy but i do make sure to see her as much as i can and speak to her every day. Is still bed ridden but there’s always hope one day she’ll be able to get up again.
