Grateful that I’m able …

To be present for a friend to watch her son last minute.

That I’m able to work out. In a drunken stupor I nearly lost my ability to walk drinking and driving and totaling my vehicle hitting black ice.

To sleep in a warm home during very cold weather.

To connect with my sober friends on a daily basis.

To work my program and be held accountable for my actions.

Life is good.

We're given another chance if we recognize the urgency. Sounds to me like you are taking full advantage. Stay blessed!

That's so inspiring! You being able to babysit last minute probably felt amazing! It felt awesome just to read your post!

Love this! I felt that for you, that feeling of being reliable and in the moment to be able babysit for your friend. That’s one thing (one of many tbh) I am grateful for in my sobriety: being reliable, honest, trustworthy, present. Such freedom. We do recover. 24 hours at a time.
