Experience... I was a functioning alcoholic and didn't even know it.
Strength... It is by the grace of God, the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous and the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous that I have found it necessary not to pickup and have the first sip of alcohol in over 37 years.
Hope... I found out there is hope, not only for me however for you, in coming "to believe that a power greater than ourselves COULD restore us to sanity".
The word "COULD" in this sentence is used as an affirmative meaning WILL restore us to sanity. That power is "God COULD and WOULD if he was sought. Again there is that word "COULD" and "WOULD" both are being used as affirmatives. Meaning it will happen if you work for it.
My biggest prayer to each and every one of us is that you, the reader, find what I've and countless others have found by thoroughly working and applying the 12 steps of recovery in my daily affairs.
What we found was hope. There is hope for you. You just have to work for it. If I can do it so can you.
