I’m so grateful the sun is shining today. Most importantly, grateful for my sobriety. 19 months this time and I’m feeling like this is the beginning of the rest of my life. I couldn’t be here today without the great program of AA and all the supportive friends and mentors who inspire me to grow more everyday. It has taken me a long time and several relapses to get here and all I can say to those struggling is don’t give up on you! I’m here today after losing everything, slowly rebuilding in God’s time and God’s way (insert higher power, Dog, shoe…whatever works for you). My rock bottoms just kept getting worse and I’m so happy to know today I don’t have to worry about hurting myself or anybody else or getting in any more legal trouble. If I can do it, anybody can!
