Gratitide in the midst of stones

I know this is a tough one, but here’s a thought: Be grateful for the clarity and urgency a health scare provides. Having kidney stones makes you acutely aware of your body's needs and its incredible, complex systems. It's a loud, unmistakable signal to prioritize self-care, hydration, and nutrition—a wake-up call that many people ignore.

Plus, after passing 29 stones over the years, I have to find the bright side: I’ve built up enough materials that I could probably rebuild the east wing of the White House! Here’s to the newfound appreciation for your body's strength and the firm reminder to take better care of yourself.
