So very true about giving up the past and not looking back. Before my sobriety and into the beginning of it, i had to understand yesterday's past cant hinder me in this.
It was an ex that got me all shook up and thought she understood what was happening. Although she drove me into this disease. I am number one at fault.
But i have learned our choices make us not necessarily others. So i had to make it clear to her and state that I cant have her in this sobriety with me.
Since i have been now 2 months sober with checking the past off and surrendering her and it to my Higher Power.
Emotional sadness and sickness for me has been there since I was a boy. And man with God's grace and serenity, He has allowed me to have the strength and courage to one day at a time remain sober.
In that i am grateful...
