Gratitude is mostly misunderstood!…

I have always felt gratitude lists are although a great tool in early recovery however, at some point it must be understood that the word is a verb!!! For me it’s something I show by action, which largely will be seen in my walk

The action is critical of course.
However, how easily we forget all that we have to be grateful for. Regardless if we’re early or later in recovery. pausing and thinking of all we have to be grateful for and then putting pen to paper and listing each thing brings it to reality.
Gratitude lists and the action are there to help us at any point in sobriety to ward off self pity.
