I’m grateful just to be alive
When everything feels wrong
I cannot give up this fight
Forcing my way along
Grant me the serenity
To accept what I can’t change
This is something hard for me
This concept seems strange
Also grant me the courage
To change what I can
Change the way I look at life
To be a better man
Finally grant me some wisdom
To know which one is which
What I can change and what I can’t
Time to make a switch
I’ve come so far but have far to go
This fight is never won
But I can finally change my life
The old me is done
I’ll lose some people along the way
But I will be alright
I finally have new found strength
To fight this endless fight
I can love myself today
I’ve never been so sure
I now have a self respect
I never had before
