Gratitude

What does it mean to be grateful or have gratitude? It's a big question for everybody although a lot of people don't think about it and their day-to-day lives. It's a struggle and it's really not that hard, but yet we're all really guilty of it, well I really can't say that I know I am I can't speak for anyone else. But myself I'm grateful that I have a house that I can call home that's hot water and a bed and friends that are there to support me. I'm grateful I'm sober that means the world to me. I'm grateful that I woke up this morning and somebody made coffee already having gratitude is not something we have to put a lot of effort into but yet a lot of us don't do it at all, why is that? Is it maybe we've come as a society where we just expect things to happen for us, or we just get so wrapped up or caught up in whatever it is that we're doing that we're forget about the little things. So here's my challenge and you can accept it or or do nothing about it, but just take a moment in the morning the afternoon the evening whenever you wake up and just be thankful for something doesn't matter what it is just have that gratitude. I know there's a lot of people out there struggling I'm one of them I'm not even sugarcoat it. But I've slowly start to work at looking at the things I'm truly grateful for.
