Gratitude

What keeps you in gratitude when you’re tired, sad, struggling?

I have a memory from early sobriety, the lowest and worst I’ve ever felt and then I look at my life today. It works every time.

Some days gratitude is just about the fact that you are not drinking! Because everything else absolutely sucks. But remember, this too shall pass…

I believe that you can always find something to be grateful for because I see people all the time who have it worse than I do I mean nobody has a perfect life. I guess I surround myself with positive things I listen to positive music and just try to stay in the positive one of the things I had to do is I have to severely limited how much news media I get because they love pump in fearing the people

Gratitude can be as simple as a warm blanket, good food to eat, money in my bank account, the stars and sun. I used to not give any of these things a thought! My only concern was what time can I start drinking!!

Remember to write it down when those moments happen. Use pen and paper not an app. Also if other feeling arises write that down too.

I try to think of my darkest moment(s) when I was drinking then my built in forgetter deactivates.

Almost always, no matter how bad you think you have it, there’s someone who’s worse off than you. Keep your head up.

Keeping myself in gratitude is about constantly finding ways to connect and deepen my relationship with my higher power. When I am connected, the gifts come. :sparkles:If I am struggling with staying grateful, I am often stuck in self and have learned to pull myself out by being of service, praying, and meditation.
