I'm grateful for my children, my fiancé (bff of 20 years, who has almost 4 years clean off meth) and his support. My willingness to seek the outpatient help. The fact that I'm almost 3 months sober from alcohol. The fact that I have the drive to keep going to be a better mother for my kids. I can't take care of anyone if I can't take care of myself.

Thank you. I've tried for SO many years to quit on my own before it got too bad. Been in IOP the day I decided to get sober. Glad I did. My fiancé told me that the first year is usually the hardest. The brain rewiring and what not. I know it will NEVER go away, but that's all the more reason WHY I want to get to know my alcoholic. Just for today. One day at a time.
