Greatful for being sober but looking for tips on what

Greatful for being sober but looking for tips on what to do with my newfound sobriety. I'd like to find group activities but there aren't many in my area

Find some new hobbies, anything that you have thought about doing before but never have? If you are in AA see if anyone wants to get out and do something, put together your own group activity.

I find volunteering and helping others to be the best remedy for the extra time I find myself with now. I can't believe I ever had enough time to be an alcoholic :upside_down_face: There's so much to do and see and experience in the world.

Definitely volunteering, also group activities is a great idea. I honestly love to color as a hobby. It probably seems lame, but it relaxes me.

Find hobbies! Volunteering works for me. Check your local, county, state government offices.

Check out ThePhoenix.org or download the app. Its a national sober activity club. Might get you plugged in and connected with some new people

I am taking photography classes, it is much more accessible digitally now than film was. There are many gatherings to photograph and meet people at.

I wrote down my list of personal values (i.e. family, nutrition, spirituality) and then wrote down a few ideas for each.. Making dinner for my parents, grocery shopping, trying meditation meetings were some examples of things I could do that aligned with my values. I’d always SAID these things were important to me, but now that I’m living like it it boosts my confidence and brings me more peace. I try to be a woman of my word today and I never regret filling my time & my cup with these things! Hope this helps!

Guitar and shooting hoops for me. Everyone is different. You'll be surprised at how much energy and enjoyment you'll get out of being creative and active.

Right on!
