Hey Lizzie, I hope you are having a great day! For me it's not about putting myself first it's about putting my sobriety first or I will lose everything else.
I would suggest that I was putting myself first when I was actively using and not useful to anyone around me.
When I'm putting my sobriety first I'm then able to be useful to others (which is not always putting myself first).

As for this being a selfish program, I’m not sure I fellow. It’s a selfless program as in we get outside of ourselves and help others. It may seem like a selfish program in the beginning but now that I’m being of service to others it’s not so selfish. Keep coming back! Lots of helpful information here. Hope you’re doing well!
