Guest speaker experience

A few months ago, I was asked if I’d be willing to give my testimony of my sobriety in another city. My sponsor taught me you never say no when it comes to serving AA, so of course I said yes

Last night I started to get emotional as memories started playing in my mind. Things I did, people I had in my life….and lost. Someone who once loved me, came to my rescue early that morning. I will always have love and appreciation for him. God put him in my life for a reason.

Tonight I was humbled. My AA family showed up in numbers to support me. My story started to flow out, and I realize what a cleansing experience it was for me; and how alcohol took over my life.

My life has drastically changed but for the better. I love the program and my new family. My tribe of women, are phenomenal and I’ve never experienced such love and support as I have the last 18 months.

This is the face of sobriety💯 #WeDoRecover
