Today is my daughters 10th birthday. I’ve missed most of her life and I’m dealing with a ton of guilt surrounding this. I know if I stay the course and keep seeking God he will repair our relationship. I love y’all!

In due time! Stay sober and show her the difference. I am also dealing with a situation like this. But I know that through sobriety and building myself back to the father I should be, all will be wonderful as it should be. Be kind to yourself!

I missed 12 years of my girls growing up because of drinking. Now I have a fantastic relationship with my kids. It can happen! Just keep showing up and doing the next right thing. You got this man.

Yea, I agree. I think guilt can be a driving force to bring you closer to God though. I feel like any negative, unhealthy situation brings me closer and that's ok. Having that constant contact with my Higher Power is so important to me.
