(*´v`)/ In group therapy, i learned about an acronym called H.A.L.T and i still use it to this day after 7 months of sobriety!!! Whenever, i’m feeling off and i can’t put my finger on what’s wrong i’ll H.A.L.T

It helps me get out of my head and take a step back ! It’s also a good way to check in with yourself.

Hungry~ Do i need food?
Angry~ What’s upsetting me? Do you need a minute to calm down? Remove myself from the situation? Take a step back and practice focusing on my breath. Take a walk around the block. Point out the 5 senses: one thing you can see, hear, smell, touch, and taste. ☆´∀`☆
(sometimes i think of the “A” as anxiety because i feel that more than anger! So, I would honestly still use the same question above ^^)
Lonely~ Am i feeling isolated? Do i need to talk to a sober friend? Do i need a hug ?
Tired~ Do i need a nap? Am i overworking myself? Do i need to take a breather?
