Had “game night” w friends for the first time without drinking. It was so fun! Before getting sober I would have had wine before, during, and probably after until I passed out. Probably would have woken up wondering if I made an a$$ of myself and feeling physically and mentally like garbage.
Instead, today I woke up feeling rested, remembering the whole evening, and feeling connected w my friends. What a difference! “Drinking Vicki” never thought life would b so full and enjoyable sober. It’s so worth it!
