Had somewhat of a shaky day yesterday. My husband went to Maine and I am on my own for the first time since detox and it's a bit scary. I had severe anxiety (pre-lapse anxiety). I'm getting urine screens for court so I knew I wouldn't drink but if not I'm not sure what would've happened. So I guess I'm going to need to prepare and put some reinforcements in place for when I'm done with screens because I DON'T want to relapse again. Any advice
I have no advice right now, but it seems like a lonely time for you. Be grateful for the urine screens now, and when you are done with the screens - you will be in a completely different place. You can do this. Reach out if you need to chat.
Thanks Erin!
Hey Kari! It's hard depending on yourself for your own sobriety. Oh I know it all to well. You can do this though. And good people who understand what you are going through are just a text away. I wanted to drink so bad yesterday but I found the support I needed right here! Another day sober thanks to people who understand and care. If you need anything, let me know!
I love the fact that these apps are available! They've been so helpful to my recovery so far!! Thank you so much for your support! Same goes for you if you ever need anything

Recovery in a program of action whether SMART recovery, AA, NA...whatever works. As they say it's really hard to do this by ourselves and we have to do some work to stay. Lots of online meetings!
Hi Kari. Try to get on a few zoom meetings or in person meetings if they are near you. I have made some of the most amazing friends that have gone through similar situations and the support is like no other. Connect and reach out. I speak to my AA recovery friends daily.
