I hope all mothers, regardless of standing with their children, celebrate today. Just know this: YOU DID YOUR BEST WITH THE TOOLS YOU HAD! Let's be grateful for being sober and move forward with each day knowing we are getting better and stronger each day! I am grateful for today. I am blessed with 2 very strong and beautiful WOMEN and now a beautiful granddaughter, Gemma Kate. I am blessed they are strong. I am grateful for have being given the opportunity to have raised them. I am also grateful for their aunt that stepped in when I was in active addiction to be their mother figure.
I am grateful for recognizing that my own mother, with her mental illnesses and less than perfect parenting, did the best she could have with the tools she had. Though my life was stocked full of traumatic events they've have shaped me into who I am. I am grateful for this as it is allowing me and has allowed me to be of a growth mindset and helps me serve others in ways that a different kind of past would never let me.
I am grateful for Ms. Anne as she is such is role model for how a mother should be and I appreciate her greatly.
I am grateful for Lil Man and Lucy everyday. They are doing better with less arguments than ever. I appreciate the peaceful weekend amongst them!!
