Enjoying the look on the faces of people I meet and see how much they enjoy life.

I am in a new town so most of the people I know are from church or AA. Went to a late night meeting and rang in the the new year with sober friends

That’s awesome! Did they shoot off fireworks where you are?

Yes! A goal of mine is bed by 9, I don’t always make it, I have a puppy. I do try!

@sierra258161 what breed of puppy?

He’s a mut that I rescued so not totally sure. But he’s super smart and has been the best puppy I’ve ever had

There were a lot of fireworks going off, yes. It was cool because I'm from up north and there's not many fireworks on New Year's

That’s awesome. I love fireworks. I got to watch them off a boat one year. That was cool.

How do you like the new town you’re in?

I'm from Hawaii so I spent my time hanging at home as the fireworks were going off

Breaking bad habits is a journey all in its self, but that’s the one I’m on. Less phone more me time

It's nice. It's actually called Niceville :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
I like not freezing or having to drive in the snow. I still get homesick a little though.

That sounds like the perfect way to bring in the new year!

This is something I’m working on. The phone feels so consuming and I honestly wonder where my day has gone some days!

I’m sure! Love the town name though!! Too funny

Post meeting New Year’s party with my group and midnight mass with my sponsor.

Those both sound amazing. What do you and your group do for the post New Years party? That is a great idea!

Buffet. A lot of dancing, card and board games, and trivia contests. This year there was bingo but at the top of the card it said “SOBER” instead. Most of the old timers were gone by 10 or so, and my sponsor and I had to leave before midnight for mass, but when it was in full swing there were at least 30 people there.
