We made it! Another day and another week in our sobriety journey! I am grateful today for having such a meaningful BIP group yesterday. We did The Red Flags of Anger and discussed the House of Abuse! Tears. Yep. Men were in tears! Tears of reality and realizations of how their behaviors and choices have been and tears of hope for the future. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity
to facilitate this class.
I am grateful today is the Virtual group as I know the class may be small as most of this class was the most impacted by the hurricane. Some may still be without power. Grace and compassion for these members for sure.
I am grateful my boss checked on me. I am struggling emotionally and mentally. The good news is that I have no desire to drink. My issues are the hopelessness I feel about the lack of a relationship with my girls. The struggle is real and my feelings of sadness and hopelessness are huge and valid. I am literally taking life moment by moment and making sure I have forward thinking and plans.
I am grateful I matter and that what I am going through is understood by my boss, my friend.
I am grateful my friend and her spouse have gotten custody of his oldest daughter and I am grateful that DCF sees that their house is the best place for her.
Gratitude this morning for Shiloh and Little Man sleeping all night
! Playtime was fun and then a full night of rest was needed by them and myself!
Grateful. Sober. Strong. Today!
