Ughh…I’m sorry. While I can’t even begin to give advice about these circumstances, I definitely am here to support your recovery. There is absolutely nothing good that a drink will do. Think the drink all the way thru. We know how it ends…the same as it always does. We are here to help you live in the solution.

Wow tough situation. Are you leaving him? Drinking again is not going to be a good solution if it gave you problems in the past. Always focus on your recovery progress first. I'm willing to help if you are struggling.

Not leaving him...we've talked it through...and it's very complicated. I'm not innocent in the situation either. Anyway I was having a weak moment and thinking about ordering wine cocktails 😮‍💨

Great job staying strong through a tough situation :muscle:t2:

However Ala-non will help with the relationship and living with the alcoholic.

Do you forgive him? Either way go to meetings until you rear gets sore Maybe you can find your solution for yourself. Don’t forget you have to be number 1! Hope it gets better

Keep your dignity and strength during this challenging time. This is not your fault. Don’t let anyone steal your sobriety. Remember how it was when rock bottom was looking you in the face. Do you really want to revisit that feeling?

Chlamydia is easily treatable. Some antibiotics and self care. You will be free. The pain of infidelity and carelessness of your husband will become a moment of strength and perseverance for you. You stayed sober in light of a situation that has taken sobriety from many. Alcoholism is a terminal and fatal disease, and you have the strength to be open, and willing to put recovery before these obstacles. Keep your strength. Don't pick up that drink. You want to be sober when karma gets a hold of your husband.

Getting wasted is only going to make the situation worse and I think you know that though. It’s huge that you reached out to this community rather than going straight to numbing it with substances. Keep moving forward, you got this!
