It’s hard!!

Reaching out for help like you just did is a good start. Please get to meetings and at least listen. Start talking when you're comfortable. Amazing what the meetings have done for me

I know this is a constant challenge. Focus on the here and now. On the next 5 min. Half hour, 1 hr. To start your day. Before you know it the day will come to a close and you have another day. Plug into meeting whether it be one meeting or 4 meetings stay plugged in take the power out of wanting to drink. Get a sponsor work the steps. Have faith! You can do this!! I’m rooting for you. :purple_heart:

Go to a meeting and identify as new. Say you’re looking for a sponsor. Someone will sponsor you and take you through the steps.

You've got this! If you have a hard time getting to a physical meeting now, maybe try an online one, they've helped me a lot. If you Google AA 319, they have 24/7 meetings going all of the time. You don't have to show your face or speak if you don't want to, but it's helped me so much to turn it on and listen when I feel like I'm crawling out of my skin.

I'm a drug user meth is my drug of choice

Idk if this app is for that or just AA I just looking for people to be in my corner to help my get myself back

I took a different approach to this that is not for everyone! I cut off every one I know uses and started working on myself! I even told my roommate he had 30 days to find another place to go bcuz he refuses to stop bringing drugs in my home when my granddaughters come to visit me! I hate everything about what I was doing because it was ruining my life and I got tired of looking at a loser in the mirror! Stay strong my friend it gets better but the more you try the more the bottom feeders try and bring you down!

Go to a meeting!

Hey that’s awesome.. keep up the good work, you’ll feel a lot better :upside_down_face::+1:

Aw mine is alcohol.. life is hard when we turn to substances, I know. I’m here for anyone that could use help.. I can sure use a friend :upside_down_face:

One day at a time. Meetings were/are a big part of my story, and if you can’t make it in person, try in the room app. I love it and I join in on meeting all day and night.

You got this!!!

Tylenol PM :woman_shrugging:t3:

It’s sooooo hard, especially early recovery! My advice would be to stay connected to the recovery community. You need your people:heart::heart::heart: don’t isolate, you belong so stay connected. Good luck!

The thing that helped me most was being told to do the do’s in AA. Do not drink. Go to meetings. Read the big book. Get a sponsor. Work the steps.

Switch your thoughts to something positive or productive as soon as they come to you (this becomes natural). Art is a good go-to for me or watch something funny. You're doing it!

Find a meeting to go to and try to meet others there. Hang in there.

Here and now. Make sleepy time tea with honey. Gives you a task, mimics that liquid full feeling your body is used to. Deep breathing.:pray::pray::pray:
