Hardest time of my life to stay sober. Working overtime at work. Newly single dad. Barely able to see the kid rn. Any advice on how to stay sober through such a trial

My advice when I'm going through tough times is staying present, worry about this second and find 1 greatful thing and focus on it. Build from there. I know it sounds lame especially in the beginning but thousands and thousands and thousands can't all be wrong. I'm 2551 days sober and I still have tough days and when I do I shrink my view and get through 1 day, 1 moment, 1 hour, 1 minute, 1 second and build up from there. I'm so sorry you're going through this tough spell right now. I can promise you this, it will get better if you're sober and it will stay worse if you're not. Find your gratitude today

Get a big book
Get a sponsor
The fact is you can't do nothing for your kid if you can't do anything for yourself
