There is a dating app, Loosid Dating, for that.

On my app, I can change between Loosid community and Loosid dating in the upper left-hand corner with a drop-down menu. Do you have that?

But from what I understand from other people who have posted on here, you have to be really careful about weirdos, bots, and insincere people. Everyone says it’s usually better to focus on your sobriety first for a very long time.

Hello ladies. Loosid is strictly for people who are in recovery. Good Luck Laurie

Paul, there’s a Loosid Dating aspect to this app.

I’ve never been able to get the dating app to actually work. Just technical support tickets. Frozen screen stuff.

I’m married, but been in sobriety, especially new to being sober that’s a scary thought in my opinion.

Replying to Grant: I can switch back-and-forth between the two Loosid communities, but I’ve never been interested in trying the dating side so I cannot speak to even trying! That’s not really why I come here. But if they have that side of the app, then it should work for people who are interested so maybe that’s a problem.?

I met an amazing woman. Unfortunately she hadn't been through the steps. She was "dry" for 3 years, but after she told me her story she cried the entire next day. I referred her to an amazing woman I know, love, and trust who will (God willing) take her through the steps.

Anyone who hasn't been sober for a year, or who isn't actively working steps 10-12 have no business dating anyone in my experience.

Frankly it’s the main reason I came on here I go to several in person meetings

I agree but this was advertised as a dating app or at least it was my understanding. I’m a meeting maker idk

I tried the dating side of the app. Just not enough people in my area. Yes, lots of fakes on there. I use a mainstream app. Regardless, sober dating is hard, but if you're ready, you're ready. I don't do meetings or steps or whatever. We're all different.

There are 2 apps. Loosid and Loosid dating, but the dating app is mediocre at best. I live in a fairly well populated area, but there's no feature to search by distance like every single other dating app I've never been on. So my matches were all hours away in other states.

I was simply relaying my experience with the Loosid dating app with a woman who was still sick and suffering even though she had been "sober" for 3 years.

Glad you are doing well, and best to her. Hopefully she will find the help she needs, in whatever way works. My apologies if I came across as negative to you, I did not intend to. I was simply doing the same, relaying my experience with the app from my personal journey.

I’ve never been able to get the dating app to work. Talking to tech support, I found they have a known “bug” as they put it. They suggest resetting the app or installing it, but that doesn’t do it.
